The European Union foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, issued a statement on Monday on the conclusion of an official document regarding the modernization of the Arak nuclear reactor in Iran.

The following is the full text of Mogherini’s statement:
One of the important commitments reached between the E3/EU+3 and Iran under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has been the modernization of the Arak research reactor in Iran. An Official Document which outlines the commitments of the JCPOA participants in this important project has been concluded.

The document signed by the Foreign Ministers of the E3+3, Iran and myself represents another important milestone on the way towards the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

In my capacity as the Coordinator of the Joint Commission established under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, I am pleased to release the Arak Official Document.
